Barfoot & Thompson says sales rose 10% in September as confidence continues to build in the property market.
The company - the largest real estate company in Auckland - Barfoot & Thompson sold 917 properties in September, up from 830 in August.
The average price was almost $515,000 - up 3.8% on the same period last year.
Managing director Peter Thompson says sales traditionally lift in spring, but a more positive outlook for the economy and an increasing number of properties on the market helped to drive growth.
