Healtheries recalls children's vitamins

Thousands of bottles of children's vitamins are being recalled because metal shavings were found in a tablet.

Healtheries KidsCare Immuno-Plus from batch number 25323 with an expiry date of May 2012 should not be used.

Many of the 2000 bottles of tablets in circulation have already been removed from supermarket and pharmacy shelves.

A spokesperson for Healtheries, Ondine Waddle, says customers can get a refund by returning the product to the shop where it was bought.

She says the person who discovered the metal was not hurt and the risk from the product is very low.

Healtheries is reviewing its production processes.
