Vets advise families to take extra care of their pets on Saturday night - Hallowe'en.
With Hallowe'en increasing in popularity, the Veterinary Association says there's a greater risk of harm to pets.
It says dogs could easily become spooked by a series of visitors and there's concern about children feeding Hallowe'en sweets to animals - causing them to become sick.
The association says families should keep their animals away from the festivities.
