Air New Zealand says it has made more seats available to get football fans to Wellington for the All Whites all-or-nothing world cup qualifier with Bahrain on Saturday night.

The airline says its flights from Auckland to Wellington are sold out through to 4pm on Saturday.

Domestic airline manager John Whittaker says it has boosted capacity by 20% from Auckland and Christchurch.

Two extra Boeing 737 flights have been put on from Auckland on Saturday, and larger A320 aircraft have been added to some existing services.
