The organiser of an atheist bus campaign says he expects it to attract controversy despite New Zealanders not being as passionate about religion as other countries.
The campaign is calling for donations so it can put the message "There's probably no God so stop worrying and enjoy life" on buses in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
The campaign ran on the London Underground and British buses earlier this year, causing an outcry among religious groups.
Campaign spokesperson Simon Fisher told Morning Report the adverts are expected to run in New Zealand in February. He expects the campaign will be controversial and has already received some angry e-mails.
Mr Fisher says the adverts will run subject to the bus companies involved agreeing to them.
