The Judicial Conduct Commissioner has appointed a former Australian Chief Justice to help him assess a complaint against a Supreme Court judge.
Justice Wilson is being investigated to determine whether he was prejudiced in a case because of a business relationship he had with a lawyer appearing before him.
Last month, the Supreme Court held that Justice Wilson should not have sat on a Court of Appeal hearing of a dispute between Saxmere wool growers group and the former Wool Board.
Saxmere says the judge co-owned a horse stud with one of the board's lawyers.
The Commissioner, Sir David Gascoigne, has selected the Honourable Murray Gleeson to join the inquiry.
