A supporter of 18 people facing charges in connection with nationwide police raids in October 2007 says a trial date of August next year is unacceptable.
The accused all face a variety of firearms charges, while five are also charged with participating in a criminal group.
Their trial has now been set down for the High Court in August 2011, nearly four years after the raids, but a supporter of the accused, Peter Steiner, says it's unjust to have charges hanging over them until then.
He says many are struggling to live normal lives and cope with the stigma of the raids.
The trial, set to begin on 8 August, is expected to take 13 weeks.
