The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says two New Zealanders facing jail in India have declined offers of diplomatic assistance.
Allen Bruce Mills and his girlfriend Peta Sim Clair face up to 10 years in an Indian jail if convicted of charges of possessing cannabis.
A foreign affairs spokesperson says the New Zealand High Commission in New Delhi made contact with the pair, but they declined offers of help.
