Alpine Energy is still working to restore the 150 remaining houses without power in South Canterbury.
High winds in the area on Wednesday bought trees down onto powerlines causing about 1000 houses to lose electricity.
Areas still without power are Gudex Road, Blainslie Road, Camp Valley Road, Colliers Road and Cannington.
And Orion says a handful of its customers are still without power at Lake Coleridge.
