A man who abducted and murdered a child, aged six, in Christchurch has been denied parole.
Peter Joseph Holdem, 57, took the girl as she walked home from school in 1986.
The Parole Board said Holdem still presents an undue risk to the community.
It considering making a postponement order, which could delay his next parole hearing for up to three years.
