Police have named the man who drowned while fishing at Raglan earlier this week. He was George Greening from Hamilton.
The 43-year-old died after falling into the water while fishing from the Diamond Pier at the Raglan wharf at 1am on Monday.
His companion dived in and brought him to shore, but efforts to revive him failed.
The death has been reported to the Coroner.
