A boy who was attacked by a dog is in a stable condition in Waikato hospital.
The incident occurred in the Tauranga suburb of Parkvale on Friday afternoon.
TrustPower Rescue Helicopter pilot, Todd Dunham said the child, aged four, had facial injuries and was taken to the plastic surgery unit at Waikato hospital.
It's not yet known how the attack happened, but police have not had any reports of the incident.
