The ANZ Bank says an overnight glitch that affected payments has been fixed and payments have been processed.
In a statement, the bank said there were some problems with the processing of payments to and from customers of banks on Tuesday night.
All payments from ANZ to customers of other banks were processed by mid-Wednesday morning and customer accounts credited.
It is understood customers from all banks with direct debits into ANZ accounts could have been affected.
