Bradley Livingstone, who was nine, and six-year-old Ellen Livingstone were killed in their home on 15 January, apparently by their father Edward Livingstone. The body of the 51-year-old Milton prison worker was found at the Kiwi Street house.

The funeral for the children began at St Leonards School at about 2pm.

The school says more than 200 people gathered in the school hall and about 200 others gathered outside.

Mr Livingstone was arrested twice last year for breaching a protection order for his former wife, Katharine Webb, but was discharged without conviction.
