An initiative to help companies remain corruption-free when doing business overseas is being launched in Auckland on Tuesday.
A self-styled integrity group made up of New Zealand business and justice organisations has developed anti-corruption training courses to raise awareness of corrupt practice, and advise on how to deal with it.
The group said exporters, importers and those with overseas business partners may be operating in areas where bribes are common, and knowledge about how to deal with that is essential.
Transparency International ranks New Zealand first-equal in the world for freedom from corruption, and chief executive of Business New Zealand, Phil O'Reilly, said the training courses will help maintain that standing.
