A woman whose elderly parents were shot dead in their Waikato home 20 years ago fears one of their killers is still dangerous and shouldn't be released on parole.
Leith Ray and Gresham Marsh killed Josie and John Harrisson in their Te Akau home in 1994. They are serving life sentences for what the Parole Board called an appalling execution.
The Harrissons' daughter, Margaret Jamieson, attended a parole hearing for Ray on Monday morning.
Mrs Jamieson said he is still a danger and shouldn't be released from prison. She said he has not taken responsibility for his life and may lose the plot again if he is released.
She said she would like to see Ray remain in prison for the rest of his life, as it would be a relief to know he was locked up and not causing anybody any pain or grief.
