Fonterra has confirmed job losses at its Canpac packaging plant at Te Rapa in Hamilton, but reduced it by 10.
Some104 positions will now go as part of a review of the company's operation announced on 23 July.
The dairy cooperative said on Wednesday about 45 permanent and temporary roles are available at other Fonterra sites, which it hopes will be taken up by some of those losing their jobs at Canpac.
Until now, the workforce at Canpac has numbered about 330.
The company would cut back its operation to 24 hours a day for five days instead of seven days a week.
