Mr Lundy is facing a re-trial for the murder of his wife and daughter in August 2000.

The bodies of Christine and Amber Lundy were found in their Palmerston North home while he was on a business trip to Wellington.

It was now almost a year since the Privy Council quashed Mr Lundy's murder convictions and granted him a re-trial.

The pre-trial hearing was expected to run for two weeks, but Justice Kos ruled the media can not report on the evidence to be called or submissions to be made by the Crown and the Defence.

Mr Lundy's re-trial is due to begin in February next year.
