An Air New Zealand flight on its way to Hawaii was forced to return to Auckland on Saturday because of a suspected fault.
It is believed Flight NZ10 had an engineering problem as it was heading to Honolulu.
Air New Zealand says crew followed procedure and burned off excess fuel before landing the plane back in Auckland at about 3.30pm Saturday afternoon.
Customers have since left Auckland on another flight.
