The death of a pedestrian hit by a car in Blenheim has brought the holiday road toll to nine.
Police say the person, believed to be an overseas tourist, aged 68, was hit by a car shortly after midday, on Rapaura road near Spring Creek.
The holiday period ends on Tuesday morning.
