Phil Rudd trial date set

12:18 pm on 9 February 2015

A trial before a judge alone has been set down for the AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd.

Mr Rudd, 60, has denied charges of threatening to kill and possession of cannabis and methamphetamine, after his Tauranga home was raided last November.

He also initially charged with attempting to procure a murder, but that charge was later dropped because there was not enough evidence.

A case review hearing which had been expected to take place tomorrow has been cancelled.

And a trial is set down for 21 April at Tauranga District Court.
