A man described as a prolific serial stalker has been jailed for two years for harassing a woman he'd initially contacted more than 20 years ago.

Glenn Green has 202 convictions including the most recent, in which he sent texts to a woman nine days after being released from prison in June last year.
In a reserved decision at the Manukau District Court, Judge Andree Wiltens said the woman said she'd received phone calls from Green as far back as 1993.
Green told her he got her number through her sister, and her address through her vehicle registration.
Judge Wiltens said the charge of criminal harassment had been proved, and that Green was a stranger to the truth.
