A former media agency director has been been found guilty of fraud totalling $1.8 million.
The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) said Glenda Mary Wynyard, 49, was convicted in the Auckland District Court today.
She is the former director and owner of The Media Counsel, a media placement agency.
Wynyard was redirecting payments being made to her agency to repay a debt, presenting cheques she knew would not be honoured, and providing false and misleading information.
The SFO said the case demonstrated the importance of transparency and integrity when conducting business.
Ms Wynyard will be sentenced on 24 April.
