Mils Muliaina has been cleared for selection by his Irish rugby club Connacht after the former All Black was arrested over an allegation of sexual assault.

Connacht said it had completed an internal review of the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident on 6 March in Cardiff.

It said Muliaina remained available for selection subject to his recovery from injury.

The 100 test All Black was arrested by Welsh police in Gloucester last week, but released on bail.

His lawyer, Simon Porter, said Muliaina denied the allegation and was cooperating with police.
