A man is to appear in court after an armed offenders squad callout on the Coromandel Peninsula on Friday, where officers fired rounds of tear gas.
Police went to the Kuaotuna property near Whitianga after receiving information that a person had two firearms.
The man is due to appear in Hamilton District Court on Saturday.
