A Christchurch property developer says he has been paid tens of thousands of dollars in compensation by police for raids in 2011.

The developer, David Henderson, said the raids on his properties in 2011 were based on false information given to the police.
Mr Henderson said police last year offered him $43,000 and an apology, which he rejected.
He said he could not specify the amount he received, but it was in the tens of thousands of dollars.
"It's still no proper compensation for the time, energy, effort, hassle, cost and stress that these events put on you," he said.
"The police just get away with - as most government departments do - just shocking behaviour.
"They get away with burying someone in my circumstances and situation who complains; they get away with burying them in litigation and cost."
Mr Henderson, who said he had now received a hefty payout and an apology, said it had been a long time coming.
He said the the raids on his properties were based on false information given to the police.
Mr Henderson said it had been frustrating that the police did not settle the issues sooner, and he believed they stretched out the process in the hope he would give up.
