A 12-year-old boy has been flown by helicopter to Waikato Hospital this afternoon, after a serious crash in Bay of Plenty.
Police said the four-wheel drive vehicle rolled on Otariki Road in Edgecombe, with six people inside, just after midday.
They said three children were thrown from the car and the three other people were trapped inside.
A spokesperson from the Rotorua-based BayTrust Rescue Helicopter said the 12-year-old was flown to hospital with serious injuries.
Another patient was flown to Waikato Hospital.
