Snow forecast to low levels in South Island

MetService is warning that strong cold southerlies will batter parts of the country from tomorrow and snow is expected down to low levels over the lower South Island.

Fiordland, Southland and southern parts of Otago including Clutha and Dunedin are among the area likely to be affected.

Snow is expected on the southern passes overnight and is also forecast for the Desert Road tomorrow afternoon.
