Students at Apia's Marist Brothers' Primary School were back at school this morning despite it being the holidays.

They had a good reason - the All Blacks were in town and visited their school to mix with the boys and take them through some rugby drills.

The morning kicked off with a cultural performance from the boys before five students from 21 Samoan schools joined them for some practice.

The Marist Brothers reportedly brought rugby to Samoa and the school counts many All Blacks and Manu Samoa players during the years as former students.

Local woman Rosetta sent her children to the school and now her children attend.

She said the day was a special one they would all remember forever.
