Shearing legend David Fagan has notched up his 600th win in an open-class event by winning the Great Yorkshire open shearing final in the UK.
He beat Scotland's Hamish Mitchell by just over a point.
Since the 48-year-old from Te Kuiti first competed in the open class in 1982, he has scored nearly 150 of his wins in Britain.
The 600th win came six days before the start of the world championships at which he will be seeking his sixth individual and seventh team titles.
