The police have named a young man whose body was discovered on the foreshore of Lake Wanaka.
The body of 22-year-old Ryan Joseph Alexander of Wanaka was found early on Saturday morning.
Detective Dave Evans of the Wanaka CIB says Mr Alexander has lived and worked in the town for the last three and a half years.
He says officers are keen to hear from anyone who might have seen or spoken to Mr Alexander after he left a function at the Trout Bar late on Friday evening.
