There have been no new cases of norovirus at a Greymouth resthome.
Kowhai Manor was put into lock down this week after 15 patients and staff came down with the virus.
This prompted the West Coast District Health Board to urge people with similar symptoms to stay away from Grey Base Hospital.
Health Protection Officer Vern Newcombe says the situation at the resthome is improving.
