Mr Dotcom and three other men face extradition to the United States on copyright, money laundering and racketeering charges.

It relates to their website, Megaupload, and the hearing is into its eighth week.

Mr Dotcom's lawyer, Ron Mansfield, said the text of the TPP helped their understanding of copyright law and how this applied to the internet.

The text showed internet service providers were protected from copyright infringement by their users.

It confirmed this protection was not conditional on service providers monitoring users, he said.
