A 12-year-old boy who died after falling off a sea biscuit yesterday was struck by another boat.

The boy was being towed on a biscuit behind a boat on Blue Lake in Central Otago when he fell off.
He was then stuck by another boat, and died later of his injuries in hospital.
The police were conducting a scene examination today to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
They urged people to take necessary safety precautions on the water this summer.
