A 10-year-old child has been found at a Nelson motel unit where police were carrying out a drug raid.
The police searched the property in the suburb of Tahunanui last night and arrested a woman.
The child was one of several people in the unit and was now being cared for by family members. However, Child, Youth and Family would be informed.
A 29-year-old woman will appear in the Nelson District Court charged with possessing methamphetamine and cannabis, and other drug dealing offences.
