Bus services in Wellington were back to normal on Friday after bus drivers and the bus company agreed to return to the negotiations.

There were no bus services on Thursday after Go Wellington locked out more than 300 employees, following a peak time strike by drivers on Wednesday morning.

General manager Bruce Kenyon says the Tramways and Manufacturing and Construction Workers unions have withdrawn their strike notices and mediation is scheduled is for Friday afternoon and early next week.

The company has offered a pay increase of 7%, but the union wants 8% to 12%.
