Masterton is getting is own direct air service to Auckland, aimed mainly at business travellers.
The Air New Zealand flights are due to launch in February.
The route will be operated six days a week by Eagle Air, using a 19-seat Beech 1900D aircraft.
Masterton Mayor Garry Daniell hopes the Wairarapa-Auckland link will boost business and tourism in his region.
