A pilot is in Hawke's Bay hospital with minor injuries, after his microlight crashed.
Senior Sergeant Stu Fleming says the microlight had engine problems while flying near Waipukurau and the man, 65, had to find an emergency landing site.
He says it appears that the microlight clipped a power pole as the pilot attempted to land in a paddock.
