Mystery money in Mossburn is a mystery no more.

Last week, about 60 post office boxes in the Southland township received an envelope containing $10 cash and a note encouraging them to contact God.

The only clue to the sender's identity was a Cromwell post office box, which is listed to John and Joy McDonald, who used to live in Mossburn.

Mr McDonald will not name the individuals involved, but explains they are a a group of young men from all denominations who wanted to reachout as an in an act of charity because everything was "doom and gloom" at present.

No money has been returned yet; but if any is, Mr McDonald says it will be donated to charity.
