Spotless has failed to clean up pay system - union

7:54 am on 14 June 2016

Cleaners working for the contracting company Spotless are still not being paid on time, says the E Tū union.

Last month, the company promised the union it would fix its voice recognition payroll system, which left hundreds of employees out of pocket.

But E Tū industry co-ordinator Jill Ovens said members would meet again with Spotless today after more workers experienced problems.

Every week there are short pays, someone has only been paid $55 for the week, someone else has only been paid $87 for the week, somebody else was owed 11 hours work. They need that payslip."

Ms Ovens said Spotless kept breaking a promise it made last month to repay people within 24 hours of any issue.

Spotless did not respond to a request for comment, but last month said most issues had been resolved.
