Two people have been arrested overnight in relation to the death of a 42-year-old man in Mt Wellington yesterday morning, police say.
The 42-year-old man was unconscious when emergency services arrived at the home shortly after midnight on Friday night following a report of public disorder.
He was given first-aid but died at the scene shortly after.
Police said yesterday they were looking for four men in their late teens and early twenties who were believed to have been involved in an altercation that prompted the 111 call.
A 21-year-old and a 16-year-old male, both from Ōtāhūhū, were arrested overnight and have been charged with the assault, they said.
The pair will appear in the Manukau District Court tomorrow.
Police said more charges could be laid and they were still looking for others involved in the incident.
