Teina Williams, 25, was arrested yesterday at a property in the city, following Thursday night's shooting in the suburb of Bader.

Police had said the Mongrel Mob member was armed and dangerous.

Mr Williams did not seek bail at his appearance in the Hamilton District Court and will remain in custody until a case review in August.

He elected to face trial by jury.

The 14-year-old suffered minor injuries in the shooting.
