A man has jumped from a sixth floor landing at Nelson Hospital, landing on a cooling tower two floors below.
The Nelson-Marlborough District Health Board says he smashed a window before jumping.
The man, believed to be aged in his late 30s, is being treated in the emergency department.
No details have been issued about his condition.
