Police are searching for a man who robbed a store in Porirua this afternoon.

He walked into the shop on Serlby Place about 3pm, brandished the machete and then fled with a small amount of cash.
No one was injured.
The man was wearing sunglasses, a light grey hooded jacket, light-coloured pants and red shoes.
Police want anyone who might have seen him to contact them.
