Power has been restored to almost 11,000 properties in Tasman district affected by a cut this morning.

Lines company Network Tasman said power was cut in Motueka and Golden Bay just after 7am during planned maintenance on a substation in Nelson.
Supply was was restored about 8.40am.
Chief executive Wayne Mackey said an investigation was underway to find out how it happened.
