A 29-year-old man has died overnight after being stabbed in Kaitaia.
Police said the victim received multiple stab wounds.
Despite receiving medical attention at the scene, and at hospital, they died from the injuries.
A 30-year-old man has been arrested in relation to the incident and will appear in the Kaitaia District Court this morning.
