A search and rescue operation is under way off the coast of Timaru for a diver.
The Rescue Co-ordination Centre says the diver went missing while diving from a fishing boat about 2.30pm on Monday.
It says sea conditions are perfect in the search area, which is about 37km off the coast of Timaru.
