There were long delays for southbound traffic on State Highway 1 north of Wellington, after a three-car crash this evening.
A New Zealand Transport Authority spokesperson said the area where three cars crashed on the Kapiti Coast was cleared before 6pm.
Nobody was injured in the crash, but conditions were very wet and police urged drivers to take care.
