Three people waiting for a bus outside Auckland Hospital have been injured after an ambulance mounted the kerb and smashed into their stop this afternoon.
Police said the ambulance was not believed to have been using lights and sirens at the time.
Three people waiting at the bus stop have received minor injuries, and were now being seen by medical staff at hospital.
Three ambulance officers and a patient in the back of the vehicle were uninjured.
Polcie said the cause of the crash was not yet known.
