The police in Christchurch have confirmed the body found off the coast of Sumner on Wednesday is that of a missing pipeline worker.
Tony John Utteridge had been missing since 28 October after a mishap involving an inflatable boat. The body of another worker was recovered shortly after the accident.
The case has been referred to the Coroner.
